First Lady Mary Perdue Visits and Teaches at Unique Elementary School in Tokyo

Mary Perdue, First Lady of Georgia, visits a Tachiai Elementary School classroom. Standing to her left is Mr. Hoshino Yutaka, principal of the Tokyo school.

Mrs. Perdue teaches a lesson on Georgia to the fifth grade students at Tachiai School. Earlier in her visit, she presented the school with the Georgia state flag seen on the left.

Fifth grade students listen intently as Mrs. Perdue describes what an elementary school is like in the United States.
